Very central and close to everything We stayed before doing the Abel Tasman and the location meant that we could easily get to our transporting location Lots of other hikers staying too

What keeps me coming back is the combination of its welcoming atmosphere, excellent facilities, and unbeatable location. The communal areas are fantastic, especially the spacious lounge and outdoor spaces, where it’s easy to relax or socialize with other travelers. The kitchen is always clean and well-equipped, making it convenient to prepare meals during my stay. The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, and I always appreciate the staff’s friendliness and attention to detail. They genuinely make you feel at home and are always ready with helpful tips for exploring the area. Its location in the heart of Nelson is another big plus—it’s so easy to walk to local shops, cafes, and attractions, yet it still offers a peaceful vibe.

Little extras like tea/coffee, washing powder, hairdryer, towel. Facilities in lounges. Artwork and overall interior design. Friendly staff. Little touches like name on bed!

Location in the center of Nelson is great. We had a nice room and luckily looked out on some palm/yucca trees. It was very quiet (for center of town).
