I had a wonderful stay at The Serene House in Negombo. The property is located in a quiet neighborhood, just a short walk from Negombo Beach and various local restaurants. The house itself is beautiful, with cool marble floors, high ceilings, and lovely outdoor spaces including a personal balcony where I enjoyed a peaceful view of the night sky. The host, Janith, was incredibly kind and helpful. He went out of his way to ensure that my stay was comfortable, even arranging airport transfers to make my arrival and departure hassle-free. The Wi-Fi was strong, which was perfect for me as a remote worker, and the room was clean and air-conditioned, making it a great retreat from the tropical heat. Breakfast was a treat—I had the chance to enjoy some authentic Sri Lankan dishes like kiribath and fish curry, which were simply delicious. The host’s attention to detail and commitment to making guests feel welcome truly stood out. Whether you're looking for a peaceful escape or a convenient base to explore Negombo, I highly recommend The Serene House for its excellent service, location, and value for money

Very classic beautiful guest house. I experienced a lovely welcome from hosts. I felt comfortable and well looked after. The location was great - just behind beach road (so easy access to restaurants/shops/beaches). The hosts went above & beyond what is called for and I greatly appreciated them! I fully recommend staying here short or long term and I enjoyed Negombo town also; chilled area will great small shops to eat at.
