Good for a night 20 mins from airport. Huge , well equipped room with TV, mosquito nets, wardrobe and hot water and a little terrace. I didn’t use the pool but could be nice for a dip. Very friendly owner. Easy walk to lots of restaurants and the beach

The welcome we received when we arrived at 4am was incredible. Our rooms were unexpectedly ready to go. We assumed we'd be able to leave our luggage and then check in later on in the day, but we were lead to our rooms immediately and were able to have a comfortable bed to lie in which was wonderful after a long journey. There is nothing we can fault about this lovely homestay, from the hospitality to the location to the breakfast to the place itself. A little hidden haven that we'd highly recommend.

Very wonderful stay, very clean, beautiful garden and pool. The host let us stay until very late evening on our departure day for free because our fight departed very late. Extremely kind.

Ocean Gate is a simple but cozy guesthouse, only a few minutes walk to a main street with restaurants and shops. Breakfast was simple but good enough. The room we stayed was large enough for two persons. We had hot shower without any problems. Channa, the owner of Ocean Gate, is extremely friendly and attentive. Thanks to him and his wife, we had a great time in Negombo.
