The rooms were very clean, large and well ventilated with a good fan. The mattress was very comfy! Pathum warmly welcomed me and was so helpful to everyone. Nothing was too much bother and he worked many hours to keep things tidy, inform other guests and maintain a friendly atmosphere. Such a great guy! Beware the ridiculous comments made by some previous guests who get screamish about one cockroach or a local passing by the window! I only saw one small cockroach (in 3 days) cross the outside terrace at night, coming in from the coastal path. This is a tropical country, the Beach House is in a working fishing village. The Beach House is on the beach path, serving the local community. I found it fascinating. If you want a sterile environment and pay 10 times the price you can go elsewhere. Thank you for providing an economical alternative in an interesting location, right on the beach. It is also ideal for the airport..700Rs- 800Rs in a tut-tut I loved it and will come back!

Another fabulous stay at the friendly Anicia Beach House. There are no frills here but good basic accommodation, hot water, comfortable bed and clean. What makes this place special is the relaxing beach and the friendly staff. Set in the middle of a fishing village you see daily life evolving around you. In the evenings the locals come out to sit on the beach and chat, children ask where you are from, practicing their English. Pathum will go out of his way to help the guests, cooking breakfasts arranging transport to airports, even going to the pharmacy to get medicine for a guest. Location wise it is perfect. Town is only a 1km walk away, the bustling restaurants 1km walk in the other direction with lots of local shops along the way. The bakery opens at 5.30am every day with a second bake ready at 2.30pm. Fresh vegetables, sim cards, supermarkets are all within a 5 minute walk cutting through the grounds of the amazing St. Sebastian Church. I have loved both of my stays at Anicia Beach House and enjoyed interacting with the locals and helping out with the beach clean. Right in the heart of the fishing village this is the perfect place for the traveller rather than the tourist. Restaurants and touristic area is 1km up the road but here is just perfect to meet the locals, learn about a different way of life plus it's only 20 minutes from Airport making it a great place to land and depart from. Patham, our manager, was simply amazing, great breakfast, super helpful and great company. I arrived the first day on the cyclone on November 25th 2024 and even though the weather was destructive, the community that was built between the guests during those 5 days will last forever. Have already booked to go back.

Very simple but good for when arriving late at night. Check in at 4am was possible and you are getting a small breakfast as well!

The location was great. In the middle of all the local action. Friendly people that helped with all our questions :) Had fresh coconuts from the local who was cutting them down off the trees outside the property. Thank you for having us.
