The staff were lovely and the setting was beautiful. The room was unusual and relaxing. L'Occitaine toiletries were a bonus. Breakfast was a calm, relaxing affair in the garden room, hosted by a lovely lady. Cold items were served buffet style whilst hot food was brought to the table, plated.

What an amazing stay. Had a lovely little cabin with a beautiful antique interior. We spent the day walking around the domain, enjoyed the restaurant and got a great tour of the house. It's like a time machine. Definitely recommended.

Very nice setting but we were lucky to have a room behind reception and close to the house . Many of he rooms were a distance away and whilst one could park there they looked more motel like Restaurant had lovely ambience but not cheap

The Monmouth is located in a very well-kept park. The 1818 restaurant and especially the breakfast room are extremely well-kept. The staff is very friendly. If you enjoy historic antebellum villas, this is the right place for you.

We stayed in room 28, which was very clean and we enjoyed relaxing at the lake with the rocking chairs. We even seen wild deer

Historic antebellum site, greek style architecture; scenic huge park with ponds, flowers, birds, cats, walking path, chairs to relax; room furniture and porch; restaurant with excellent dinner; peaceful and quiet

Beautiful property in a stunning setting. The rooms are ice but very dated. The breakfast was the best though, very generous and the staff were amazing.
