Everything. The design, the eco consciousness, the pet chickens running around the garden, the incredibly sweet staff, the comfy futon beds, the location, the outstanding dinner. My husband is in tourism and he was really impressed.

The hotel scores perfect marks for its location. It is situated directly in front of a very pretty pond, which has some exquisite Japanese buildings overlooking it. It is also within 3 to 5 minutes walk to the main shopping area and has loads of restaurants around. It is therefore quite amazing that the hotel nonetheless feels very quiet and calm. I would strongly recommend any guest staying at the hotel to take a walk around the hotel at dusk or in the early morning. It is wonderfully serene and beautiful. Although there were some aspects we believe the hotel can improve on, I should stress that the location and the feel of its surrounding environment did make up for the things we did not like.

Location next to Nara Park was excellent. The whole vibe of the property was 'chill' and zen. The chickens were lovely to see, the hot foot spa very different. The design featuring lots of wood was very pleasing on the eye. The club area was lovely though a few more comfy chairs would have been nice! Breakfast was lovely, the evening meal was quite expensive so we didn't try it. The guided tour in the morning was lovely though limited in scope. We used the free bikes available.

Beautiful wooden hotel. The check in was perfect. Aya was exceptionally king and friendly and she explained everything about the hotel in great detail. The location is great, close to the park (with the deer) and also close to Nara's lively town center.

We received a warm welcome. Free snacks and drinks between 3.30PM and 6 is also nice . Location, Location, Location!! Basically it’s a short walk to all the sights in the centre and also short walk to Kintetsu station and bus stop.

Very beautiful wooden hotel, the rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Around the property, many deer were present in the morning. Very close to Nara Park. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend it!
