Beautiful location and well positioned for the things we had planned. Nara Hotel offered delightful old world charm and an unexpectedly spacious room. We enjoyed cocktails with some supper in the lobby bar on the evening of our arrival. The following day started with coffee and cake in the tea lounge, and deer enjoying the sun right outside the window. Exceptional staff service.

A historic building right in the middle of Nara Park. Beautiful gardens right in front and you can see deers at your balcony doors . What a pleasant surprise !

Wonderful historic hotel of great quality. The staff is remarkable. This hotel is mainly frequented by Japanese people and it is very pleasant not to find only tourists there. Here we are in authentic Japan. It is an experience that deserves to be lived. Magnificent moment lived with family.

We enjoyed Nara and the Nara Hotel very much! Very nice old hotel, but very nicely maintained, super clean. Fantastic atmosphere. Super comfortable beds and sheets. Delicious multiple course dinner and breakfast. In the middle of the Nara Park. You can go everywhere by walking. There are deers also in the park of the hotel. They are very cute bowing at you to get deer biscuits. Beautiful place!

The hotel had a beautiful elegant timeless quality . The gentle calm atmosphere and attentive staff were superb. We enjoyed cocktails in the bar before we headed out for dinner. It was an easy walk into the town and deer park. A super European style breakfast too.

I absolutely loved this hotel, a destination in itself, feels genuinely classy and historic without being pretentious or intimidating at all. Though impeccably turned out and utterly professional, I think the friendly and and still down to earth staff added to this feeling. I was travelling solo and felt so safe and comfortable here, embraced by the provenance and atmosphere of the establishment and as well as the literal comfort of top of the range silent aircon, the big sink-into pristine bed and gorgeous hotel pyjamas provided
