The location was idyllic and the house was lovely. The photos don't do justice to the property. Our host very kindly met us from the ferry, took our bags to the house, while we found a restaurant to eat at, rented bikes and cycled to the supermarket. Just be aware that some places close over the Christmas/New Year period. It's a nice, quiet time to visit the island though and we had sunshine and blue skies. Oh..to be back there!

Beautiful attention to detail. Lovely beachfront cabin for a small family or three friends that don't mind sharing a room. Small well equipped kitchen. Lovely garden on the beach is shared with the larger Yokombo next door. Bliss. Even a table to have breakfast. Owners pick you up from the ferry. Short walk (15 mins) back to ferry, town, restaurants. To explore the island and the remarkable galleries, the most fun way is electric bike. Hire them at a very reasonable rate from the Ferry wharf. Book galleries in advance as some galleries sell out quickly. Chiba Gallery is the pick.

Loved this house so much - beautifully appointed right on the beach, the 3 bedrooms were lovely tatami-mat Japanese rooms with super comfortable and warm futon beds (we were there in winter). Every room had excellent heating and a big comfortable eat-in kitchen for meals and games. The hosts came to collect our luggage from the port and drove us back the next morning. My kids complained that we were only staying one night and it would’ve been awesome to stay longer. There were so many beautiful Japanese cups and plates, there was coffee and tea provided, a projector, slippers, hair dryer and straightener, board games - seemed everything we could possibly want was there. I hope I can come back to Naoshima one day and stay here again!

The villa is pretty huge! We like the fact that the beach is just so close to us. It gave us a beach resort feel. The accommodation is very clean and well maintained, rooms are big, and there's a projector that can screen Netflix in the dining area. The dining area also comes with a sofa for the family to enjoy dining or watching TV together. Two of the rooms open up to a view of the wonderful garden and a little beyond. Great for families. The host was great. She offered to pick us up from Miyanoura ferry terminal on the day of our arrival and send us back to the ferry terminal on our last day. I would definitely recommend this place to whoever wants to visit Naoshima.

It was right in front of the sea. Couldn’t get any closer. 🤩The owner came on our day of departure to take us to the port for the ferry back to Uno port. The villa was charming and good for our family and friends of 11 pax. The main villa took 8 of us in 3 BRs and the small villa took 3. The shared kitchen space was conducive for eating together. But there isn’t a supermarket nearby and there are only 2 taxis on the island. We were lucky to get one at the port’s parking lots and got him to drive us to the co-op and waited for us to shop and bring us back to Yocombo. Naturally we bought a lot of food as it would be difficult to carry so much food without transport.

The property was very easy to access from the main port town (an easy 15 minute walk), and the host met us in town when we arrived and drove us to the property, which was very nice. The accommodation itself was very comfortable, with great amenities in the kitchenette and bathroom.

Sensational view, quiet location but close to the ferry terminal and within an easy bike ride to Art Museums. Lots of space, we would have liked to stay for longer! Garden and courtyard were gorgeous, and we loved wandering out onto the beach.

Stayed in the smaller villa, it looks tiny next to the main house but its still quite comfortable inside. It's essentially a studio apartment with tatami flooring. 2 single mattresses to sleep on but they were quite comfy. Plenty of space for baggage. Typical capsule style Japanese washroom. Split system A/C kept the room warm despite it being freezing outside. Since it's more or less one room, there's not much space inside to do anything aside from sleeping, but there is a projector attached to the ceiling and a screen on the wall if you want to watch Netflix or something. The kitchenette is also tiny but we didn't use it except to boil the kettle. The shared garden is quite nice, although we didn't really use it as it's a bit chilly with the wind off the water this time of year. Parking space next to the villa if you need it. Met the owner briefly as we were leaving, she was very nice.
