Tatami was super comfy, room was spacious and bathrooms were shared but very clean. Bath was amazing, it smelt nice, was quiet and clean. Staff were super friendly and chatty, bringing sliced apples to our room as a welcome gift. Thank you!

It's a surprise that they still operate during the new year holiday. The location is easy to find, parking lot available right behind the inn. It seems the managers are all old Japanese men, but I think they can try to explain in simple English or translator app. No bathroom or restroom indoor, but each floor have restroom and a gender-separated bath house with hot water tub in first floor. Our room is big enough and very clean. Since it's near Nagano station, you can explore the city easily. We chose breakfast option, and since the next morning is January 1st, they prepared a special Japanese style New year breakfast for all of us, which is a surprise.

The stuff was amazing and welcoming, they checked us in early and had us use the onsen exclusively since they didn't have that many customers. The rooms are traditional style, you sleep on futons amd kimonos are provided. Location is central so the whole town is accessible walking distance. The owner drove us to the train station after our check out
