“Superb”
As a traveller from overseas we felt so grateful to stay in this Ryokan. For us it was the certainly the best place we have stayed in Japan. The Ryokan itself is incredibly authentic and elegant, traditional Japanese craftsmanship and very well maintained. We came in the snowy winter and it was so unbelievably beautiful and cozy. It is located in the mountains with views of forest and Japanese alps, and right next to an incredible mountain shrine. It was almost surreal. You can feel the care, passion, hard work and pride of the owners. They are very friendly and excellent to speak with. The ryokan has been in their family for generations. For us it was not just somewhere to stay but a rich cultural experience in a breathtaking location. If possible, you must stay here.

The location and building are filled with the tradition and rich history. We were so impressed to see beautiful cultures still passed on even in this 21 century.
