Amazing location in the temple area. Walk right out into the shops and street food spots. Thye staff were very helpful and lovely to deal with.

Super friendly staff, hotel was well kept and clean, and the baths were super nice. There are only stairs in the ryokan but that didn’t bother me. Location was right next to Zenkoji Temple and was very picturesque. Heating was sufficient as well.

Wow, where to start? Incredible, family run ryokan located within the temple precinct in Nagano. Our room was very large, two beds plus sitting area and private bathroom. The ryokan has its own onsen, which was great. But the stand out was the food!!! Make sure you book for at least one dinner and breakfast. Traditional, fresh, exceptional. Would stay there again for sure.

Outstanding historic location right next to Zenkoji temple. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Japanese-style room was comfortable and it was great to have the public bath available. We enjoyed our breakfast and dinner. A highlight of our trip!

Beautiful building, right in the temple grounds. We got to walk up to the temple at night while it was snowing and it was very beautiful. The owners were lovely and very helpful. A very memorable stay!

This property was amazing. A traditional Ryokan about 250 m from Zenko-ji Temple. The room was just beautiful and we love the extra touches of green tea and sweets. We love the "dad" who would greet us at the door when we arrived after exploring. We also love the fact we could go to Zenko-ji Temple at dawn and receive a blessing. The local street is just lovely. We love staying here.
