Old style traditional house, so be aware of what you should expect: squeaking wooden floors, many stairs (and you must carefully carry your luggage to your room!), cold in winter. My teenagers loved it! The owner couple was very kind to us and very available to help in any way.

The lovely couple who own the ryokan are so hospitable and friendly and made me feel very safe as a solo female traveler! I stayed during winter so the onsen was fantastic and the couple would give me a hot thermos of water every evening when I returned! I could not recommend more highly it was so clean and cozy and the tatami bed was super comfortable. My wonderful experience here was truly made by the lovely owners who were so sweet I will definitely be returning!

Wonderful husband and wife who serve as hosts. The breakfast was huge, delicious and filling. The onsen was perfect. A great traditional Japanese inn experience.

The owners were very friendly and the place was well kept. Very quiet place even though it was near the street. The place has strong ryokan vibes and definitely a must stay for those who want to experience the ryokan culture.

It was great, very accommodating staff. Great location. Easy get to from the train station and plenty of buses nearby. Right next to the market and Temple. Had a great time

The older couple who run this ryokan were exceptionally polite and helpful - despite not speaking English they tried hard to communicate with us. They have preserved the place in its traditional state while also being clean and with modern facilities. Great location walkable to Zenkoji temple and the local bus will get you where you need. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby.
