Everything! Picturesque paradise with a lovely community feel. We met some amazing people, the rooms were super comfy and Maria and her massages were out of this world. Just the perfect place to relax and escape the real world.

I was travelling alone to the Yasawa Islands and stayed 3 nights at Oarsman's. It takes 4.5hrs on the ferry from Port Denarau to get there but worth going the distance. The lodge didn't seem to me as big as some other resorts so there was more of a familial feeling and the staff were incredible - so friendly and they always called me by my name which made me feel very welcomed. I stayed in the dorm which was a good experience. It is relatively spacious and there are partitions between the beds which gives a bit of privacy. The dorm is up a flight of stairs above the main area and the shared facilities are at the bottom. These were clean and felt relatively private. The lodge has designated tables for meals. Anyone in the dorm or travelling alone but staying in one of the huts ate together on the same table, so meal times were social and easy-going. There are plenty of activities you can sign up to: trips to the caves, to the village, reef hopping etc... but it was also very easy to sit in a sunbed and not move. I would also recommend climbing the hill behind the lodge for the views. Overall it was great. I left very relaxed and was sorry to go.

This is a special place. We loved the helicopter transfer which deposited us right on the beach outside of the resort. You don’t have to worry about a thing, the staff take such good care of you. They treat you like one of the family. Lucy and Marianna on Bar, Josa on activities, Mereoni at Reception and the rest of the staff were so friendly, always had a smile and made you feel welcome and at home. The sunsets over the blue lagoon are amazing. The food was delicious. This is paradise.

A perfect getaway with amazing views. We spent our time enjoying the scenery, taking part in activities like caving and reef hopping, eating delicious food, and relaxing in communal spaces and our private air-conditioned room. We were particularly grateful to Lucie and Josa for their fantastic hospitality. Thank you and Vinaka.

Some of the meals were very good and some of the staff were incredibly lovely and kind. Great snorking out the front to the right hand side of the resort. The cave adventure was great too.

The setting for the resort is unique: a south sea island with palm fringed beaches and views over the nearby archipelago. The resort itself is quiet and well-looked after: our “bure” (freestanding bungalow) was traditional weatherboard on the outside, but modern and spotless inside. You have to take the full board option which was fine, though the food was unimaginative with limited choice. The bar had a reasonable selection of drinks, and beer and wine were not overpriced. Staff were all friendly and service was excellent. There is a range of activities available, some free (eg kayaking), some available for FJ$ 50-70 so not expensive.

Really friendly and helpful staff. From Luisa I got one of the best massages. And the Cave-Tour they offer is awesome, we had a lot of time in the Caves with our Guide Jo and he told us heaps of things about this place.
