We stayed for two nights at the Sheraton Oman Hotel as a family couple. The breakfast was varied and satisfying for all tastes. However, the dinner was quite disappointing — mostly Indian cuisine with very limited options for a 5-star hotel. There was only one soup, the bread was hard, and overall, the meal was not enjoyable. We complained to the management, and they explained that when there are fewer guests, the food selection is reduced, and since most guests were Indian, the cuisine was tailored to them (although we noticed many other nationalities as well). Fortunately, the staff was very attentive and offered us the chance to choose from the à la carte menu for the second night, which turned out to be excellent — we had grilled seafood and Arabic-style meat. The room was spacious and clean, but some rooms don’t have a bidet hose, so it’s important to request one if needed. The outdoor pool is only 1.2 meters deep and the indoor pool 1.3 meters, with an anti-slip mat that was uncomfortable to walk on. Also, from 10 AM to 12 PM, the indoor pool is reserved for women only. The jacuzzi, however, was very pleasant with a good temperature and strong bubbles. Special thanks to Ms. Janat from the front desk for her support, and to Mr. Fernando from the restaurant management for handling our complaint with care and offering a great dining experience the second night.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton Oman Hotel. The location is great—just a short 9-minute drive to Mutrah, where you’ll find the fish market, scenic corniche, and vibrant souq. Don’t miss Bait Al Luban, an incredible Omani restaurant right next to the fish market—it’s a must-visit! While the hotel is set in a quiet area, getting around does require a car or taxi. That said, key cultural spots like the National Museum Oman, Muscat Gate Museum, and Bait Al Zubair are all within a 15-minute drive. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The shower was fantastic, with high-quality toiletries provided, and we appreciated the generous supply of bottled water each day. Breakfast was another highlight—plenty of variety to suit all tastes, served from 6:30 to 11am, which gave us a relaxed start to our mornings. A clean, comfortable, and convenient base for exploring Muscat—we’d happily stay again.

Breakfast in a Beautiful setting, breakfast overall was good , it was mostly self service expect the egg counter which in my view took to long to arrive to your table. Outside and inside pool were nice to relax in.

My daughter has asthma and is triggered by mould. Our room had a mouldy/ damp smell when we checked in. I informed the reception. They did not offer us an alternative room instead housekeeping was sent to spray freshener. Obviously this did absolutely nothing to help the situation. My daughter developed a tight chest over during our stay. I would recommend that some renovations should be done to the rooms.
