I started my 4 week trip trough Oman in Basil Hostel. At first I planned to be in Muscat for a few days at the beginning and end of my trip. But since I fell in love with that place I returned every three to four days to Basil‘s Hostel and have been there a total of five times. It was a great place to meet other travellers and locals. I always felt welcomed and at home there. If I ever return to the great country of Oman, which I‘m pretty sure about, I will for sure be staying at Basil Hostel again and looking forward to reunite with all the good friends I made there. Cheers guys!

Proximity to the bus station, greeting with omani halva. I was accompanied to the next ATM since after a very long bus ride I was too tired to look for it alone.

Easy to reach from the airport by bus A1. Located near by one of the main bus station, so it's easy to travel around. Big common area, and kitchen opened 24h. Free coffee and tea. Very good atmosphere, and helpful workers. The place is surrounded by restaurants, shops, and a big supermarket where you can also find an exchange money.

A wonderful hostel!! Big common area, indoor and outdoor, which invites to connect with the team and other guests. Day trips and dinners are offered. The room was spacious and even though it was a ten-bed super quiet. Everyone very respectful and relaxed. The host really goes the extra mile!

I liked everything about this place it was the best hostel i stayed in for a long time - check in with Zee was so welcoming as all people in the Hostel were warm and welcoming and so much great vibes in the time I stayed. It is a great place to meet other travellers. Thank you Basil to have created a wonderful place. I wish you all the best.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in so far. Very spacious and comfortable common room with books, games, sofas and a big TV with internet connection. Big kitchen space. Good location with many restaurants nearby. Kind volunteers, Zee from Yemen is top notch. Plenty of opportunity to make friends, plan and travel together.

The place is excellent in a very lively area and the owner of the place is very cheerful and gives suggestions for places that you should visit in Oman and he is familiar with the activities that you should do in the Sultanate of Oman and also the atmosphere of the place is excellent and I will book again and again in this place
