Mürren is a car-free village and can only be reached by train. Cars can be parked at the Schilthornbahn cable car station in Stechelberg (charges apply).It is recommended to take the cable car from Stechelberg. Thus, you will arrive right in front of the Hotel Alpenruh.Please note that Single Currency Credit Cards (UnionPay logo only) cannot be accepted for reservations.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

We really enjoyed our stay here. the hotel food was good and the view from the rooms was amazing. I forgot a personal item and the hotel was kind enough to mail it to me in Canada! Exceptional service and would 100% stay there again.

1. Location. 2. View. 3. Conduct of hotel staff. 4. Room Condition. 5. Everything actually. We had our best time in this hotel. Location is attached to cable car. No need to carry your luggage. Which is really a pain in that height.

The hotel has a really lovely view from many of the rooms, the restaurant and the terrace. The breakfast food was good and plentiful. They had cold meats, cheeses, a variety of breads, fruit, hard boiled eggs, etc. and an excellent coffee machine. The rooms are not very large, but equipped well and very clean. There is a lift to the various floors. If you remember to park your car near the Stechelberg station and take that train up to the hotel, you will end up right next to the hotel, no walking required. Unfortunately, we did not read this beforehand and parked at the Lauterbrunnen station. This takes you to the other end of Mürren, so we ended up dragging our suitcases in a 12 minute walk. Lesson learned!

Amazing location with views of the Alps. Delicious meals at the in house restaurant. Friendly staff. Highly recommend this hotel.
