Hotel Overview

Elegant, Mediterranean-style rooms with free WiFi and flat-screen TVs are offered at this 3-star non-smoking hotel in central Munich. It is directly on Goetheplatz Square, just 500 metres from the Theresienwiese Oktoberfest Venue.
The stylish rooms at Hotel GIO are completely renovated and feature a private bathroom with a rain shower and a hairdryer. Some rooms also include a balcony.
Reception is open from 06:30 to 22:30. Check-in is possible at reception until 22:30. After 22:30 you can check in yourself at the night check-in terminal.
A hearty breakfast buffet can be enjoyed in the Tuscan-style restaurant or on the pretty courtyard terrace with olive trees. Drinks are available in Gio's Orange Lounge Bar.
Goetheplatz Underground Station is a 2-minute walk from the hotel, and Marienplatz Square is just 2 stops away and the Allianz Arena is reachable in 20 minutes via direct underground connection. On-site parking is available.

hot radiator near the window, balcony or inner yard, table to use laptop, near U-bana and bus stop, many cafe and shops around (even LIDL is in a walking distance!)

Te place was quiet, clean and the personnel was very friendly. The bathroom was quite funny, the same door is shared between the WC side and the shower. Only one could be closed at a time. It wasn't a big deal for me though.

Recently renovated hotel, very nice decor with an Italian touch. Modern rooms with decent sizes, very clean and staff nice and always available to help. I would definitely return. The shower in the room can be problematic if you go with friends, it was perfectly ok for a couple.

The hotel is at a very good location, two u-bahn stops away from Marienplatz. Renovated. Reasonably priced. I liked the smart solution of one door, that can be used for either for the WC room or shower box.

Staff were very friendly. Decor was modern European. Rooms were clean. The breakfast was quite extensive and good quality for the money. Location was very close to the U-Bahn - 2 minute walk.
