Everything! This homestay is run by Nyoman and his wife who are two of the kindest and most welcoming hosts we have met on our travels in SE Asia. We felt so looked after and really appreciated the extra touches, such as Balinese snacks and ginger and pandan tea being brought to our terrace every time we returned from trekking. Nyoman recommended two excellent warungs for lunch and dinner to us and, when we mentioned that we really liked Balinese urap dish, he even made his own version with fern for us and other guests which was exceptionally delicious! We loved the hosts’ beautiful fruit and spices garden, and enjoyed watching their cats play and wander about. The traditional Balinese breakfast was plentiful and varied. There’s a free water refill and the hosts use bamboo straws which prevents plastic waste. The room had everything we needed and was perfect for our 5 day stay. The outdoor sofa was most comfortable for enjoying the evenings on the terrace. Scooter rental from the hosts allowed us to easily reach waterfall trekking points. Everyone in the village in which the homestay is situated is really welcoming and our stay was most relaxing with plenty of wildlife and stargazing opportunities. Thank you so much for having us!

Nyoman and his wife cuddled us all the time, very relaxing, cozy and nice place. Close to the path to the waterfalls. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast and food (often provided) are simply amazing.

On our trip to Bali, we left Kuta and decided to head to Munduk. After doing our research, we booked three nights with breakfast included, and it was the best accommodation we could have chosen. We were welcomed at the end of the afternoon with typical dumplings and delicious tea by Nyoman. He helped us rent the motorbike the next morning and recommended lots of wurungs with delicious food. Always in a good mood, with a big smile and an extremely generous person. Every day breakfast was different with local food and when we returned from our visits, we're always welcomed with cakes and wonderful tea. The view of the countryside is very peaceful and behind the lodge there is a rice field that you can visit. On the last day, we couldn't get any transport to go to Ubud, so he arranged a transfer. If you want to go to Munduk I highly recommend this place, We'll definitely be back. We are very grateful to Nyoman and his wife.

Staff is absolutely welcoming. They offered us homemade snacks right upon our arrival and also every time we would come back from a day trip. They were also quick on fixing an issue with the hot water of the shower. Scooter rental was easy and cheap. They also pre-alerted their friends up at the twin lakes that we were going there for a trek so that was nice too. Location is remote but if you make it all the way to the north of Bali that’s probably what you’re looking for anyway. There are a couple restaurants close by. Alternatively, rent a scooter and drive 10 mins to nearest place.

We really loved our stay at Gosela - to be honest we didn't want to leave! The rooms are huge and comfortable, with locking storage inside. The bathroom was enormous! Honestly, everything was perfect. Nyoman and his family cannot do enough for you. We could not fault their hospitality. The Munduk area is beautiful, relaxing and full of wildlife. You will not regret a visit!

The host were very sweet, and made sure everything was of liking. The breakfast was very complete and traditional balines. They even made us a bracelet for each. Location is very nice and you can rent motorbikes at the homestay.

Very nice hosts, made very nice food and brought us tea. Wanted to help us with everything, which was very nice because we didn’t know the surrounding area. We thought that there would be a lot of mosquitoes but almost never saw any or got bitten
