Danielle and Toni are so friendly and helpful. Their location is a gorgeous 15 minute walk from town along the shore, only 3km from the hike up Concepción. The room was spotless and the hammock so comfortable. The icing on the cake was the fireflies. Despite the country location I didnt get bitten once. If its free, book it!

Of all my many trips, Rancho Tranquilo may be the best value for money. Daniela and Tony are lovely and kind hosts, opening their doors to their fabulous rancho. Rooms are clean, spacious and quiet. Location is superb - right outside the buzz of Moyogalpa, and right in front of the lake. In summary, highly recommended for the location, the hosts and the value.

I had the best time with Tony and Daniela, they were very kind, welcoming and warm. They make you feel part of their family and have so many stories to tell. Daniela makes THE BEST breakfasts (I miss them). If I go back to Ometepe I'm definitely staying with them again. The room was nice and clean and at night you can hear a symphony of crickets and other elements of nature due to being away from the city. A really nice experience. Also, there's a beach right outside the hostel where you can see the most beautiful sunsets. It's a bit far from the center of the town (a 20 min walk) which is not too bad, just something to take into consideration. If you're renting a bike like most people do it's not going to make a difference for you, but I was on foot. Fortunately, Tony was very kind and picked me up on a motorbike at the port and took me back at the end of my stay.

Tony and Daniella are wonderful hosts. The location was perfect for us, very peaceful and lovely watching the sunset over the lake. 10 to 15 min walk from the jetty if you go through the banana plantation. Shorter via the lakeside, but a little flooded when we were there. Swinging in the hammock was a bonus, and as for the chocolate cake 🥰

Nice, relaxing place right next to the lake. About 10-15 minutes walk to the ferry or town centre. The rooms are very clean. Daniella and Tony are super nice and friendly. You can also have nice meals and laundry done.

It is a cute property close to Moyogalpa - you can walk over a remote street along the lake or we had an ATV rented. The owners are super friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was especially a highlight!
