We loved everything about this amazing place. From the minute we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The room was incredible, the bed so comfortable. The amenities were awesome. The breakfast was so amazing after a great night's sleep. What an introduction to Sri Lanka. We highly recommend the Coza Ceylon.

“Charming boutique hotel with outstanding service”

A quirky, charming little boutique hotel with a charming and very helpful owner/manager. Nothing is too much trouble for him. He wasn't put out when our flights were delayed and we arrived after 2 am, and he got up at 4:20 am to see us off on the day of our departure. Breakfast was amazing for only a small additional fee. It was tradditional Sri Lankan breakfast, beautifully presented. The bed was comfortable and the room had a view over the rooftops that caught a glimpse of the sea. When you first arrive the building looks a little like an incomplete construction site, but don't be fooled by the external appearance. Inside is a surprising oasis. Mount Lavinia is a busy happening place, but it was a little further from Central Colombo than I thought. Not walking distance unless you're very keen, so be prepared for a 3-wheeler ride costing 1200 to 1400 Rupees. If you think they're overcharging you because you're a foreigner, you're probably right, but one US$ is worth 293 rupees at the time of writing, so don't sweat it – the money means far more to the 3-wheeler driver than to you.
