In the winter ski season, the property does not have any on-site parking, due to resort regulations. When checking in, please park in the 30-minute loading zone out the front of The General and during your check-in process staff will show you where the overnight long stay parking is located, about 1.5 km down the road.Please note that there is a 3% charge when you pay with an American Express credit card.You can catch the free village shuttle bus back to The General. Free village bus only operates in winter.If you expect to arrive outside reception opening hours, please inform Mountain Dreaming in advance, using the contact details found on the booking confirmation.Please note that you must ski in and out of the property in winter. Super friendly staff, felt very welcome after a wonderful but difficult day hiking across the alpine crossing. Very good meals available and atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and comfy.

Enjoyable stay in Hotham. Only place open in the village. Restaurant was pretty good. Rooms were comfortable. Middle of summer make sure you take insect repellent.

I am a repeat customer. Good location, fantastic view, easy access to property. It is a clean place for most part. Food and drinks available near by. Reasonable price for the stay.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, my partner and I went during summer for hiking. They greeted us outside the general store which doubles as the hotel entrance (because we were a little lost and driving past a few times) and even gave us advice on the hike before we set out. The room itself is so spacious and comfy and the view is simply amazing.
