This is a very quiet location in Shanty Town. There are a lot of possibilities sit or lay down to chill out and relax. I really liked the garden around the house and you even have one of these wide trees with violet flowers.

I have traveled to 70 countries so far. Mkoani is one of the best accommodations. The linens are clean, and the hospitality of the owner and staffs are great. During my stay, the owner gave birth. We are happy to meet the wonderful time. Everyone can enjoy here.

Dee - the host - is exceptional. She’s really the reason we also extended our stay there. Overall, the place is very relaxing, well maintained and has a very welcoming vibe. The staff working there is friendly, the food was great. We tried two different rooms and both of them were cozy and comfortable. Dee also helped us organize our pick up and later our transfer to Arusha, which was really appreciated.

The property itself is not in the centre of the city, so it makes it very calm and relaxing. It is not too big so you don’t have a lot of people staying at the same time, and the vibe is so home-like and comfortable. But most importantly, the host - Dee - is simply amazing. She was so attentive and thoughtful, always ready to answer all of our questions and help out if needed.

We had a great stay at Darlie's accommodation. It was our first accommodation after our arrival in Tanzania. The rooms are very clean and the staff are extremely friendly. We have booked two excursions with Darlie directly. She organised a trip to the waterfalls and the next day a day hike to the Madara Hut in Kilimanjaro National Park. Her husband Peter also makes multi-day safaris to the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro crater. Unfortunately, we have already booked our route and accommodation in advance, otherwise we would have liked to take advantage of the opportunity.

Everything! Darlie is a wonderful host that takes amazing care of her guests. Once you arrive, you don’t need to worry about a thing anymore and instead can relax in her sweet little homestay - actually even before since she can also arrange an airport transfer for you. The room was nice and clean and the breakfast really good and plenty. I had a lovely time and wish I could have stayed for longer!

Darlie was fantastic. A lovely stay with her at the start and end of a trip to climb Kilimanjaro. Comfortable, quiet and safe. Darlie went out of her way to make sure we have everything we needed. Wonderful and highly recommend.

I stayed here last month for a total of three nights. I loved my stay here! The room I had was lovely, quiet and clean. The breakfast is amazing and the whole stay is such great value for money. There is a nice garden out the front and if Kilimanjaro is not covered by clouds, there is a view from the back. There is also a lovely restaurant a 5 minute walk away and Moshi town is only about a 15 minute walk. There is also a lovely Tuk Tuk driver who works for the homestay who helped me visit multiple places.
