Absolutely lovely hostel with the most chill and friendly vibe, amaaazing food, we never ate out! We were also super happy with the activities we booked through them. Can only recommend!

The rooms are simple but adequate, the outdoor bathroom is a nice touch! Breakfast is fresh and tasty. Friendly owners, easy to arrange trips. I would absolutely recommend going to the hot spring and waterfall/coffee tour by bajaji, the drives are amazing and this way these are affordable day trips! Just ask to arrange a driver there :)

The property was exactly as stated and what you would expect.. Being my first time in Africa this was perfectly fine. Clean, bed was comfortable breakfast was fantastic Highly recommend this place.

We absolutely recomend Backyard Eco Bungalows (the new name is Backyard Hostel, but it is the same place)! We loved this place and it's people. It is made with love and running by love. You like to have fresh brewed organic tansanian coffee? Fresh juice? Many fruits? Filtered water at any time as much as you want to, so you can safe money for new water bottles and produce less waste? This is your place! You want to stay in a new Hotel with pure western standard? Don't visit east africa or stay in a much more expensive new Hotel. You love to make a journey/safari? You can trust Karim. He is honorable, has a lot of experiences and gives you the best prices. We recomend the walking safari with him in the west Kilimandscharo area (and of course the waterfall and hot springs with him).

Wonderful place real close to the centre of Moshi. The people who run this place are so kind and friendly. The food is delicious. We loved our stay here a lot.

Very nice staff! Cozy shared area to hang out and relax. Amazing food (thanks to the chef !♡) Also with the tours Karim helped a lot with an affordable option for us. Very, very good coffee.

The team at Backyard Moshi were great and made us feel very comfortable and welcomed during our stays! It was especially helpful as they looked after our luggage when going away on short trips and the breakfast each morning were great. Would recommend to anyone travelling to Moshi!

This place is amazing! Super chill and relaxing and the people here are incredible!! We did a cooking class and went on a hike. Nassrah is the greatest!!
