Hotel Overview

The White Hart Hotel is a traditional old posting house situated in the town of Moretonhampstead and set within the picturesque Dartmoor National park. Guests can relax by the roaring log fire in the lounge and take advantage of the free Wi-Fi.
This Grade II listed building dates back to 1639 and has a complimentary blend of traditional elements and contemporary style. All rooms are equipped with an en suite bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities, flat-screen TVs and CD players.

These rooms are quirky, different in size with typical coaching hotel decor. All rooms have bath/shower combination. All rooms have flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and tea and coffee making facilities. These rooms are located in the main hotel, on the first and second floors and have a double bed.

Superior Double Room - enter dates to see room photos

Superior Rooms in the main hotel are more spacious. One of these rooms has a four-poster bed, and another room has a double shower, while the final room is side facing. These rooms can be set up as either a super king-bed, or twin with 2 single beds.

Premium Double or Twin Room - enter dates to see room photos

These rooms are different in size. All rooms have bath with overhead shower. All rooms have a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and tea and coffee making facilities. These rooms are located in the main hotel, on the first and second floors. If you require a twin room, please request this in the Special Requests section. If you do not inform the hotel of your bed preference prior to arrival you will automatically be given a double room.

The hotel does not have its own car park. However, there are 2 pay and display car parks in the village and they charge a nominal fee for parking. The closest one is 100 metres away, situated in Station Road Car Park.
Check-in later than 22:00 must be approved by the property in advance, as there is no night reception.

Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with a great selection from full English to pastries. The lady who served us breakfast was very attentive and helpful. Delicious homemade shortbread in the room.
