“Traditional Normandy gite”
08 Sep 2024
Traditional, pretty, building with nice gardens and outside sitting area. Friendly host. Wood provided for the fireplace, and charcoal for bbq, fresh bread delivered to our door, coffee, milk and butter provided, and a bottle of homemade cider in the fridge. Miniature donkies near the stream.

“Charming and unusual in Normandy”
01 Sep 2024
Wonderful small chalets, laid out in a mezzanine style. Well stocked fridge on arrival which combined with the daily fresh baguettes made for a sustaining and tasty if basic breakfast. Fully equipped small kitchen - note microwave and hob, no oven. Dominique and Jerome were most welcoming and very approachable, providing a welcoming bottle of their own cider and homemade jam on arrival. More cider was available to purchase if wanted - we did! Barbecue (with fuel) provided. Lovely small estate with small river to wander around. While we travelled by car (ample safe free parking) the train station is a 10 minute walk with access to Rouen, Dieppe and Caen (onwards with changes). Tip - if planning to use the train often, look up in advance the available regional discount cards. For shopping there is a basic Carrefour Express within walking distance, big supermarkets close by car. We travelled with a small dog who could wander around the grounds freely and safely. If you need pet medication before returning home it is easily available from the veterinary clinic in the village - provided you speak French! Provided you don't expect too much from the village it's a great place for a holiday being so accessible by both car and rail, equally an ideal spot to break a long journey to or from the ferry ports.

“Adorably quaint stop on the way back to the UK”
17 Aug 2024
Lovely and deliciously quaint, we have had a perfect stay at Les Granges. Our daughter loved the fairy tale look of the place and we really enjoyed being warmly greeted despite being more than an hour late on our booking time! The homemade cider and jam were absolutely delicious and we’ve above all had a very good and comfy night. The perfect stop on our way back to the UK!!

“OK for a one night stop”
24 Jul 2024
This was just a place for us to stay one night on our way driving home. It was perfectly ok, although it is not somewhere I would stay for longer. Very dark and old furnishing, simple breakfast which is fine for a quick stop but is set up for self-catering.
