Hotel Overview

Built in 1870 by Eugène Jost, this recently renovated Belle-Époque hotel is located in the heart of Montreux on the shore of Lake Geneva and right across from Montreux Train Station. It offers a restaurant with a lake-view terrace and free WiFi in all areas.
All rooms at Grand Hôtel Suisse Majestic, Autograph Collection feature air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a minibar, and many of them have a balcony or a terrace.
The restaurant 45 Grill & Health offers seasonal, locally inspired cuisine and a wide selection of international and local wines. Great location with stunning views of lake Geneva. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were very helpful. We visited for the Christmas market and the hotel was a prime location.

Location is the best, as it is facing the main train station Friendly Staff The outer terrace of the Bar is beautiful for an early evening drink in the nice weather.

When we checked in the receptionist was surprised that we had a long list of busy things to do on our visit. He said to relax and see the view. We spent most of our time looking at the view. We didn't do much else. It is mesmerising as the light, colours and reflections change. It is pretty much all about the view. Writers from Byron to Brookner got it - so did we.

The hotel is situated just in front of the railway station , so very easy to go around the areas by train . In addition the hotel serves delicious food ! There are so many choices at breakfast too.
