The staff were amazing, they could not do enough for you. Breakfast was really quaint with traditional tea sets. The room was beautiful.

Beautiful old restored house with a lovely bedroom, overlooking Plaza Zabala, close to the Buenos Aires ferry terminal. A very comfortable bed & a themed room with tasteful antique football memorabilia - ours was based on an Uruguayan footballer who played in the first ever World Cup winning team in 1930 - priceless. Breakfast was excellent, including the best muesli I have ever had in my life! The staff were magnificent - kind, helpful, intelligent, good-humoured & genuinely warm people who really made you feel comfortable & welcome. There was a beautiful library to relax in & a magnificent view of the sun setting in the Rio Plata.

In the heart of Montevideo, the best place in ciudad vieja and centro. Very charming interior, wonderful friendly and helpful staff! Extraordinary breakfast. You feel that this hotel is run with much heart

A beautiful old house in the heart of the old city. It’s a short walk from the port which made our arrival from BA on Buquebus very easy. Each room is different and is dedicated to a famous Uruguayan. Breakfast was excellent, and there’s a nice rooftop terrace and jacuzzi

The brreakfast was really, really good. Fresh ingredients, fresh and home made orange juice and muesli, fruits. Not a whole lot, but really more than sufficient giving the care and quality put in the breakfast.

Beautiful and unique hotel, excellent location, very helpful staff. Room was huge with air con/heating. Terrace was lovely - great views as was the library. Very enjoyable breakfast - really enjoyed our stay!

We had a room in the historic part of the building. It was delightful. We also made good use of the lounge and thought the breakfast was lovely. The staff were always helpful, particularly Rose.
