Great views and trails. Good breakfast. Fantastic pizza. Enjoyed having happy hour. Rooms fairly basic but clean and comfortable. Like the commitment to sustainability.

The view, the beautiful grounds, great room with private patio and hammock. Staff was very nice and helpful. Very convenient there's a night tour you can join just from the reception, within 10 steps you are in the jungle. Very suitable for kids, they have high chairs, toys, little bycicles.

The Property is very beautiful, you can have an amazing walk around it. The room we had was nice with a nice view. Being in a farm like this is a nice experience, but visiting the farm costs 40 USD. So not really fair.

There were stunning views everywhere, the room was cozy and comfortable with dark wood and beautiful tapestries, very hot water due to solar panels, and a delicious health breakfast. Wonderful path to walk to see waterfalls, streams, vast views, and monkeys!

The location of the hotel is a bit off the city path, but that has its advantages, especially when you consider the breathtaking view and sunsets. The property itself is quite intimate, with the heart of the hotel being its restaurant and Panorama bar, which both offer a welcoming atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very spacious, well-equipped, and the beds are comfortable. It’s clear that a lot of effort has been put into minimizing environmental impact, with solar panels, organic cosmetics, and many other eco-friendly initiatives in place. The restaurant serves delicious food, and the breakfasts were absolutely fantastic! We particularly enjoyed the famous pizza, which is baked in a wood-fired oven—such a great touch! However, I’d suggest baking it a little longer as the center was slightly undercooked (not once). The property also offers trails for exploring the magical local nature. For those interested, there is an optional (paid) night tour with a guide, which provides an amazing opportunity to experience the area’s wildlife in a completely different light. If you’re staying in Monteverde, this is the place to be. P.S. A special shout-out to Alfredo, who, despite not working there anymore, shared some fascinating stories with us.

Nice place, with wonderfull view to the valley. Small reservation whitch is part of hotel, is pleasant bonus. Breakfast was very good, also dinner. Room was small but comfortable and well equiped.

What’s great about this place are the views from the lawn and restaurant, with a fantastic sunset, the very clean and comfortable rooms with balcony/patio, daily maid service, the wild birds and raccoons, and of course, the 5 kilometres of trails with views of valley and waterfalls. But the Roman numerals and letters, 2 different identification systems is confusing. If you’re curious about biodynamic permaculture farming then you should visit. It’s right next to the Butterfly Gardens which is interesting.

The hotel surpassed our expectations, it’s a modern eco resort with beautiful restaurants overlooking an incredible the view. The hikes around the property were our favourites in our month in Costa Rica. The night hike at the hotel was great and my 7 year old loved it. The butterfly Center is well worth a visit and we found 2 nights in Monte Verde enough.
