We had a wonderful two-nights stay and had everything we needed. Serge is a great host and provided lots of information for our exploration. We felt home and welcomed. For us it was a perfect match, we were able to explore everything by foot, prepare a snack in the kitchen, keep some stuff cold in the fridge, relax in an air-conditioned room with a comfortable bed, all while the car was parked near and safe. The house provides an overall pleasant mix of old but renovated and modern and everything was smelling fresh.

The location was incredible and Serge had excellent recommendations on restaurants. He gave us such a warm welcome. This is hands down the best place to stay if you have a car as there is ample room for parking in a gated area just in front of the guest house. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we liked having the added luxury of a kitchen available for our use. We hope a room will be available the next time we visit Mons.

Interesting building with character and Interesting features. Good bed, coffee maker, bathroom and facilities. Some of the building was freshly refurbished good wifi. Good location. Good value for money!

The Maison is an old "hotel particulier" - think of the town residence of a wealthy family from a couple of hundred years ago - and has been restored with that in mind. The rooms are decently large and well-appointed, quiet and tastefully decorated in tune with the age of the house. It's not trendy, but it is delightful. The bed was huge, soft and comfortable, and we could sleep really well, especially since each room has a very quiet but effective air conditioning unit. The owner has not scrimped at all; the bathroom is huge, with both a full bath and a separate shower, two washbasins, marble (?) walls and floors, and soft towels. Even the tooth-mugs are of impressively heavy glass. For a night, we were the guests in a stately home.

Very good location for visiting the centre of Mons, close to the Grand Place, bars and restaurants. Very good communication from Serge, the owner. Excellent private parking, safe behind a locked gate (to which you get the access code a day or so before arrival). Very well refurbished 17th century villa.
