“amazing experience, wonderful host, beautiful views, charming atmosphere”

This was one of the most extraordinary and exceptional places we visited. You really feel like you live in the old castle village! The visitors need to get ready that this is not an ordinary place or ordinary hotel/apartment. It is a bit of a fancy place, a countryside and a history all together. The experience is unique and we will gladly repeat it next year. Come by a car as there are some nice places to visit around. Enjoy the beautiful views and atmosphere. Every time you need anything, the wonderful host is around, very friendly and responsive. Actually it is very rare to meet such an amazing host while traveling on your own. Dear Ersi, thank you for your kindness and help on every occasion. We keep very nice memories from this stay!

The property was compact but very comfortable for our party of 3. The location within the walls of the castle was unbeatable and the private swimming area with its crystal clear water was a great place to cool off. Chrisoula was a delight and could not have been more helpful.

The house was very clean and has a big terrace with a wonderful view. The kitchen is fully equipped. Also the host Ersi was very helpful and kind. Monemvasia is beautiful and worth a visit. We enjoyed staying here very much.

We booked the 2 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms. Excellent size room for a family or 2 couples. The location inside the castle is magical and very relaxing. It's something special and unique. The host Ersi is very helpful and hospitable with excellent local knowledge.

I loved staying on the Castle grounds, it was a special experience. The location was great and the property was large enough for a family of 4. Will hopefully come back and stay here again.

The location of The House in the Castle in the centre of Monemvasia is of course amazing. It is on the edge of the restored part of the town which I think gives it a really great location and views. The property has been superbly restored and is well designed and very comfortable. The terrace gets very hot (as they all do in Monemvasia) but has lovely views. Our hostess, Ersi, could not have been more hospitable. The pre-arrival communication was great and she was at the town gate to meet and greet us - with a porter to take our luggage. That was quite a relief! On departure, the procedure was repeated and her charming husband, Nikos, kindly gave me a lift down the causeway to where the hire car had been parked - most welcome given the temperatures! Ersi was very responsive and helpful in assisting with some practical matters such as getting laundry done. She also sent us a very nice message after we had left. So the hospitality was superb, and designed to make your stay an absolute pleasure.
