This small country inn is situated in the centre of Moffat, a former spa town where national bard Robert Burns was one of the many visitors who came here to take the waters.
For walking enthusiasts, Moffat lies at the midpoint of the Southern Upland Way and is an excellent base to explore this part of Scotland. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Galloway and the Lake District are all within easy reach.
The inn is fully licensed and offers great food from 11:30 till 21:00 every day.

Our room had a living area as well as a bedroom which was great as it offered more space. Also a complimentary box of thorntons chocs in the room. Really friendly staff, great breakfast and decent choice of dishes for the evening meal.

Very comfy room with fresh milk in a wee fridge - bonus. There was also plenty coffee, teabags, sugar and biscuits too. We had a meal which was excellent and great value for money - always stay at the Balmoral when in Moffat.

Could not fault anything with this hotel, staff were very friendly and polite, room was clean and comfortable. Great choice for breakfast. Highly recommend.
