A beautifully maintained historical house and garden. The room was delightful and the bed comfortable. Generous breakfast with lots of choices. Friendly, helpful staff.

Location very central, easy to access property, directions very clear. Huge TVs, comfy beds, plenty of linen. Very clean, freshly painted. Lots of storage and felt very secure. Pre-check in was a brilliant option, made travel much less stressful. Lovely staff, very friendly and approachable. Beautiful grounds.

Beautiful grounds, atmospheric old property full of history with excellent leaflet for self guided tour. A fabulous breakfast with an amazing array of fruit - and as a bonus hot cross buns! Always welcome, even in January. Very friendly and obliging hosts. Also, (not for everyone), but I loved the sound of the trains at night! Very therapeutic as you fall asleep!

The Inn and its surrounding gardens are absolutely beautiful and steeped in history, which we truly appreciated. We particularly enjoyed the self-guided tour, which was both informative and provided us with valuable insight into the importance of preserving this heritage building.The Fitzroy Inn is a beautifully preserved heritage property with charming interiors, comfortable, firm bedding, and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere.

The grounds were very well maintained and beautiful. Our room was spacious and had good access to the garden. Being able to open the door to the garden and having a screened door to let in fresh air was great. The history of Fitzroy Inn was very interesting and well presented by the management. Being dog friendly was the reason we chose Fitzroy Inn, and our little dog was happy. Some previous reviews were critical of the breakfast. During our travels over the Christmas holiday time, we stayed in several bed and breakfasts, and the Fitzroy Inn was the best breakfast during this holiday. The breakfast area was clean and had gorgeous fresh hydrangeas on each table. There was a wonderful selection of fresh fruit, I had watermelon, a delicious donut peach, raspberries, and blackberries. There were crumpets and a good selection of fresh breads, and spreads, plus a selection of cereals and a great coffee machine. The person looking after the kitchen was very helpful and friendly.

Property was good, gardens lovely. We have a pouch who loved the experience. Lots of dogs escaping the NYE fire works and they were all very happy well behaved.
