Inns Overview

Set in the picturesque Cornish village of Mitchell, The Plume of Feathers is a historic 16th Century dining pub with rooms. As well as a bar and restaurant, you will find a tranquil beer garden flanked with ever-green shrubs and plants. Guests can enjoy free parking, Wi-Fi, and use of the electric vehicle chargers.
Whether it is enjoying breakfast in the conservatory, lunch in the historic pub, or dinner beside the roaring log fire - guests are treated to menus filled with traditional pub classics with an imaginative twist - think ham an egg or lamb moussaka.
The Plume of Feathers offers elegant rooms set within separate, thoughtfully converted barns and stables. The spacious rooms feature ensuite bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, Nespresso machines, monsoon showers and Bramley organic toiletries. Most of them have emperor-sized beds, and some of them have sofas and desks.
Centrally located in the heart of Cornwall, Truro city centre is a 15 min drive, and the north and south coastlines are easily accessible. The nearest beaches, Crantock and Holywell, are just a 15 mins drive, and there are woodland walks nearby for you to enjoy.

This spacious and luxurious double room comes with an emperor-size bed and a large en-suite bathroom featuring a free-standing bath and walk-in shower. The fine print
If you are planning on bringing your dog along for a break too, we have a selection of dog-friendly rooms. An extra charge of £20 per dog per night will apply with an additional £10 for a second dog, per night. Really beautiful property - we stayed in the Hen House with our dog - was truly excellent. The team are all naturally warm and helpful, food was really yum too.

Spotless room with really nice shower, huge bed and nice windows. The team were super friendly and helpful both before and during our stay. I chose the place purely based on ease of location when travelling back home from elsewhere but so glad we did as it was such a nice stay. Wish we’d booked another night.

We were met on check in by Dee who we knew from our previous visits. She is always friendly and enthusiastic and walked us up to our room explaining the xmas menu etc. Xmas dinner was fabulous. Plenty of piping hot food and very tasty. Breakfast was the last thing on our mind the next morning as we had eaten so well the previous night but it was rude to miss it. Full Cornish served by the ever smiling Stewart, Everything on the plate is quality and cooked just like we have at home. Stewart is very attentive and a breathe of fresh air first thing in the morning. Check out by Jo was easy and a pleasure. Will definitely be returning in the future.
