The location, on the quayside, with views across the bay, and Exmoor close by; the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff; the food was good, the pub is a proper old pub with a wood fire, attractive traditional decor, a good range of beers, and a welcoming ambience. The beds were comfortable, and the breakfasts good. We had a very enjoyable stay, and loved staying at the Old Ship Aground in Minehead.

Quiet location, good dog walking area and also very dog friendly in pub. Staff were eager to please and really friendly. We had a problem with shower, no one’s fault and they had to call someone out. Staff were immediately attentive and it was fixed within a couple of hours, even though it was a Sunday. In meantime we were given another room to use.
