Dinner and breakfast were amazing. Really enjoyed the whole experience. Place is unique and I loved it. Beautiful village to explore. Now that I know what to expect (book all dinners with them), accommodation style I will be happy to stay again.

We had access to a variety of onsens at Oku No Yu, my personal favorite was the Riverside Onsen (mixed) where you could see the waterfall, amazing view ! Not only do you have access to different unique onsens, you also have access to a sauna and cold bath. The traditional breakfast was also a very unique experience and the food was delicious. Finally, the staff was always helpful and patient with us, the room was really comfortable and cozy as well ! It was overall such a great place to stay at, definitely worth it !!

The Riverside bath was wonderful, especially in the night! Nobody can complain. The bed and tatami were comfortable, and room size was good enough large for 2 people, even for 3 can be fine. The onsen bath in the room along the river side was as a good point of this Ryokan!

Outstanding location on the river surrounded by natural forest. We has the room with the privet onsen on the balcony. This was outstanding. Room was huge! perfectly designed, very comfortable beds. The balcony was facing the river and had full privacy allowing us to use the onsen any time (day/night) and it was prefect in Dec cold weather. meals were very good, Japanese style and if you did not have enough, you can enjoy steamed eggs outside. Staff is very friendly and provides excellent service and flexibility, when requested. Hotel has few options for public onsens, different design, a pool. very relaxing place. Happy I selected this place The village hotel is located in is very nice, good coffee and bakery, small shops and nice walk

It is a bit old but everything is great. It was very relaxing. There is a small river near by that makes you feel so calm. We loved it. Stayed for one night. The beds on the floor were very comfortable.

The facilities was really nice and novel. It was exactly what i expected of a ryokan. Food was slightly pricey but expected of a kaiseki meal. There were alot of different onsens to choose from and it was fantastic in the cold weather. Wish milk was provided though.

The Onsen is a bit small, also the room is a little old. If you’re looking for modern hotel I would not recommend this. But if you’re looking for traditional ryokan! This is the best to reminisce the good old days. The architecture and the smell of old wood is wonderful. The staff really helpful and friendly
