Hostel Overview

A 10-minute drive from FieraMilano Exhibition Centre and the San Siro Stadium, Star Hostel offers rooms and dormitories with free WiFi. Bus 57 stops just in front of the property, reaching the centre in 20 minutes.
Set in a residential building with lift, the Star is at the 5th floor of section A. It offers bright dormitories with modern bunk beds and a shared bathroom, and en suite rooms with parquet floors.
Restaurants, bars and a supermarket are located within a 5-minute walk of the hostel.
Taking bus 57 at the Via Varesina - Via Mola stop, you will have links to the green and red lines of the Metro, connecting respectively with Milano Centrale and Milano Cadorna train stations.
Trams and buses to the exhibition centre stop 500 metres from the property. It is a 7-minute drive to the A4 Milan-Brescia Motorway.

The price is pretty cheap and you are getting appropriate service for these money. The room was clean, the workers were nice and friendly. I got the locker for my belongings for free (it’s just a deposit that will be returned when you move out) and the location is not that bad (30min from the centre). You can enjoy the trip:)

All in all you get your money's worth - the hostel is a prototypical old Italian family apartment minimally remodelled to accommodate for providing hospitality. It's very basic 70-80s interiors and furniture but all very clean and sufficiently comfy! Beds are just as I like then - not too soft! The personal is what I call Italian grumpy-friendly - love it! And yeah, you shall be hard put to get a cheaper accommodation in Milan...

Staff was really nice and polite, area was quiet and room was great for the tree of us. Kitchen was specious, balconies had amazing views and lots of sun.

The staff is welcoming and you immediately feel like at home. Everyone was respectful and with a little kit you should always bring along (earplugs, nightmask, etc.) every night was a refreshing sleep. The balcony goes all the way around the place and by one side you can see also the new Portello landmarks. The neighbourhood has become my favourite: in a short distance you have Certosa, Piazza Firenze and Bullona with corso Sempione , City Life, Portello and Accursio, Fiera, Parks of Alfa Romeo, Monte Stella and the green QT8. But of course with a couple of subway stations more you can get to San Siro, Pagano, Brera and what else. Love it!

The receptionist was very helpful and friendly and the accommodation has a good price value in fact. The balcony was a nice extra especially for the cheap price.
