This was a great value hotel. We had a room with a balcony which was nice to relax on and we also spent time by the pool. Although the hotel is in North Beach there were a number of local restaurants and shops within a few metres. The beautiful beach was one block away and quiet compared to beaches further south. The hotel was also opposite the free trolley stop, so getting around was easy. If I was visiting Miami again I would stay at the Collins.

Simple stroll to North Miami Beach and the "boardwalk" allowed exploration along the beach. Good number of restaurants / places to eat and amenities nearby if required. Hotel had secure parking and staff were helpful and friendly.

Good location close to the beach comfortable beds, the price wasn't so high considering the location, the pool is very useful on a hot day.

Really good hotel actually more motel. Room was big and clean and i was quiet surprised by the condition of the room it was way better inside than it looked from the outside. The location is great and was easy to get to. Staff were friendly and helpful. For the price I paid this was really good value and will definitely stay here again.

The room was more than adequate for our 3 night stay and we were able to keep our suitcases in the room without getting in the way. The fridge was in good working order as was everything within the bathroom. Clean towels were provided and the bed was super comfy. We were given an upgrade with a balcony which was handy too. This place is on Collins Avenue and so is accessed via the free Trolley Tram service from Miami beach. There are enough restaurants and bars along the road and the beach is 5 minutes walk away too. Towels were provided free for our trip to the beach - get a couple each. Plenty of parking beside the hotel which is paid for separately. Dont worry about the fee because when you get here, you will soon see there is nowhere else to park so its a bargain to have it here for 24hrs at the price charged.

I stayed here 2 years ago and I didn't even consider looking for anywhere else. I wasn't looking for a holiday on South Beach, I wanted a relaxing time in a relatively quiet neighbourhood that is close to the beach. And the Collins Hotel offers this in abundance. The beach is a 5 minute walk away, and you can get towels from reception. The receptionists were wonderful. I mostly spoke to a woman with blonde hair and a young man (I forgot to ask their names), and they were so helpful. I arrived early from a cruise and I was able to get to my room early. Absolutely what I needed and so appreciated. The room was IMMACULATE. They have an excellent housekeeping team (who all wear uniforms). The linens are pure white and the towels are soft. To get to South Beach, you can take the 79 or 100 bus ($2.25), or the free Collins Express trolley (small blue things -- unmissable. Be careful, they all look the same but there are 3 routes. Look for Collins Express). It cost about $40 in an uber to get to the airport.

Good location. It's not on the beach but it's only a 5 min walk away. In an area where parking can be a nightmare they charge a flat fee of $25 per night on-site with plenty of space. Good value. The hotel is old and tired but it's fine. Adequate sized room with air con. Perfect as a cheap base; especially as the free trolley bus stops right behind the hotel . Liquor store and Publix are very local in a pleasant area with lots of bars and restaurants.
