The fine print
Reservations of more than 1 room will require a deposit or transfer. Reservations of more than 5 nights will require a deposit or transfer. Reservations made for a high season will require a deposit or transfer. The establishment will contact you to provide you with bank details. Reservations with a deposit generated can cancel their reservation 48 hours before the arrival to avoid the penalty of the total reservation. The deposit is charged as a cancellation penalty. The allocation of balconies in some rooms is subject to availability at check-in. Visitors are not allowed in the rooms, access to the room is only for registered guests. It is imperative the presentation and registration of the official identification of all the people who will stay, in the case of minors, it will be their CURP.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

It’s ok, but needs to be refreshed and quite many rooms don’t have natural light or very little.

The location close to the main square is fantastic. I like the true Mexican feel the hotel has. The rooms are nice with high ceilings. The restaurant serves good Mexican food for a very reasonable price.

Location if you want central is perfect. Most day trips are pick up right outside the hotel . It's an old colonial style building. Lots of character. It could do with a makeover but for the price? You really can't complain Rooms are very echoing as they are really high ceilings . I could hear a lot of noise sometimes as there's a courtyard the rooms all surround . Not terrible though. But if you are a moaner and want utter silence look elsewhere. They have a little bar and they also have a restaurant. I did eat at the restaurant and I cant complain. Plenty of food and good prices too. It was also busy so that says a lot . Open to non residents too .

The location was exceptionally good. The hotel is located in the center of the historical district. Close to the three different metro stations and the bus stops. Many restaurants and shops are near by.

I love historical hotels, and this one was fabulous. It has an excellent location, in the Centro Historico of Mexico City. The staff were very friendly and spoke some English, which was very helpful. The food in the restaurant was good. When I arrived they were decorating in the lobby for the Day of the Dead celebration. The decorations were absolutely spectacular! I would definitely stay here again.

Friendly staff; large, clean, and well-maintained room ; wifi worked well in my room; the shared bathroom was very clean and I never had to wait to use it; close to plenty of restaurants and shops and not far from the main plaza; nice restaurant attached to the hotel with plenty of options

Centrally located at a reasonable price. This is a budget hotel but clean with good service ("Jonny" on the front desk was especially helpful). WiFi was excellent with a modem actually in the room! Some other reviews reported mosquitoes in the rooms but we didn't have any during our stay (in any case in Mexico a plug-in mosquito killer can be bought at almost any pharmacy)
