This hotel is a true gem that completely embodies the style of the 1960s. Staying here feels like stepping into a time machine, back to an era of bold, retro design. The charm of the original style has been perfectly preserved, while everything is impeccably maintained for modern comfort. The property is clean and well-kept, with a serene outdoor pool area surrounded by impressive trees. The location is excellent, in one of the nicest parts of Mexico City, and the hotel even features charming shops. If you’re planning a city trip and want a unique experience at an affordable price, I highly recommend this hotel. It’s a nostalgic journey with all the comforts you need.

Camino Real is one of the most beautiful and comfortable hotels in Mexico City. A veritable work of Art by Arquitect Ricardo Legorreta, which offers a sanctuary of peace and excellence in service, surrounded by Art of Mexican Muralist Giant Tamayo and other amazing spaces. The rooms recently upgraded include super comfortable bed, down pillows and comforters. A real treat is also breakfast at “La Huerta” Buffett. My top choice for Mexico City.

It's a gorgeous, quirky, almost bonkers hotel. The architecture and site specific artworks are beyond sublime. Blue Bar hip and happening. Location is fantastic, rooms have everything you could want. We've already booked a return visit for the end of our Mexico trip on New Year's Eve. Sorry for the other hotel we had to cancel but this place really has star quality. And that whirl pool at the front, oh my goodness....

Excellent location and the neighborhood is very walkable. Staff were all excellent and easily communicated in english (unfortunately my spanish is very minimal). Stayed in Room 3314, which had 2 double beds. Both room and beds were clean and in good condition with a quiet balcony. The hotel seems to be quite a large premises with several wings. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to try out the pool, but it seemed a good size and in good repair - not heavily used. Breakfast buffet, while a little pricey, was very extensive, and all the food was recommended, especially the chilaquiles.

Breakfast included a wide variety of fresh fruit, juices, cereals, pastries, cooked food and despite having lots of guests, I felt well looked after each day. I also liked that breakfast segued into lunch, being served until noon daily.
