The overnight stay at the hostel was great, the conditions in the room exceeded all expectations. The only thing was that the room was too hot and you couldn't open the windows wide. Otherwise, it's a great place for both a solo traveler and a group of friends. The hostel has a bar, entertainment, and a delicious breakfast. So far, the best hostel I've ever stayed at.

A hidden gem, MEININGER Venezia is a hotel I will always come back to if I return to this part of Italy. While it has a low profile, behind another hotel that looks just like it, it has amazing conditions. We got there in the afternoon and Kara at the reception was extraordinarily helpful. Everyone speaks English and tolerated my awful Italian. We were told about the facilities of the hotel and also got recommendations and directions of nearby points of interest like restaurants or supermarkets. The hotel is very close to Venezia Mestre train station and on the safe side of the station. We did not feel unsafe walking around in the evening (I cannot say the same about the other side of the station or the general areas around train stations in bigger cities in Italy). There were plenty of tourists around. The hotel has a beautiful communal kitchen next to the lobby equipped with anything you might think of. There are fridges where you can store your groceries and stickers so people don't accidentally take your food. The rooms were spotless and we had a very nice view of the south side.

The room was quiet and comfortable and really large. The bathroom was practicle and wide. I really enjoy the buffet breakfast. In general it was an excellent and comfortable stay.
