I loved the feel of this boutique hotel and the decor of my suite, adding a touch of rustic elegance. The vegeterian breakfast was a spread of delights with a Mexican twist, with the sound of a pool waterfall as the perfect morning backdrop. The owners, a friendly Australian couple, not only extended a personal welcome to each guest, but were on hand (via WhatsApp) to give tips and guidance on things to do (and avoid). All staff were fabulous, and I need to give Mel a shout-out who looked after me exceptionally well. The hotel is a keeper and I may well go back to Merida just to stay here again.

It’s a really lovely space, calm and quiet. The staff are exceptional and the breakfasts, delicious and presented like a work of art. The owners were like having your private tour guides, they even booked us a restaurant down in Tulum for our next stop. Stay here!

A wonderful hotel. Loved the pool area and the room was so comfortable and well appointed. I was unwell during my stay and everyone could not have been nicer or more helpful.

We loved everything about the Diplomat. It’s a lovely peaceful environment and was a great place to arrive after hectic CDMX. The breakfasts were outstanding and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had an amazing trip to Uxmal with Raul organised by the hotel.

Wonderful boutique hotel full of charm; service was amazing, and it felt like a home away from home. Breakfast was also one of the best we had on our trip - would definitely recommend this hotel!

We absolutely loved everything!! Honestly our favourite hotel we have ever stayed in. It’s an oasis in the middle of Merida - so tranquil and serene, with beautiful, spotlessly clean rooms. The service from Sara and Neil and their WONDERFUL team was unreal. And the breakfasts - oh my gosh!! I would recommend this hotel to anybody - it really is perfect, and we will be back for sure (we are even contemplating extending our trip just to stay here again).
