Comfortable ensuite room, nice pool, good poolside restaurant, good breakfast included, and good parking. The staff were great too.

Breakfast was basic and pretty standard, nothing special. The have many rooms so the breakfast room is also big. Seems a there is frequently events and tourist buses hosted by the hotel. Location is good with 5 mins walk to centre and roman amphi theatre and other interesting places to visit.

Stopped here for one night on our way down to Morocco on motorbikes. Not much to do in Merida (but we did get there quite late) but the Hotel Velada Mérida is easy to find with barriered secure parking next door. Parking is chargeable BUT if you're on a motorcycle, you can squeeze through the barrier (and the staff know it). Room was comfortable and breakfast ample, except there was a coach party who had arrived at the same time as us for breakfast, so there was a bit of a queue. Dinner can be served in their restaurant. Marginally on the expensive side, but it was a good meal. Bar in lobby is a godsend.
