On the south side of busy Medan, this is a quiet heaven. Guest rooms are set in a fairy tale like garden. They are spacious, well designed and cosy. There is a characteristic central building with a reception and a spacious restaurant. The kitchen is high quality with delicious Indonesian and European food. The best part of our stay was the kind hotel staff. They treated us as friends, were very courteous and polite and helped us whenever they could.

The premises is very nice with a beautiful garden and nice facilities. The staff and the food in the restaurant is really good and I had a great massage! Really enjoyed my stay getting to wind down after flying in before continuing my travels on Sumatra

Second time at Deli River and it is indeed a very nice spot. All good, we left too early to enjoy the full breakfast but got a nice bread basket the evening before. Beware if your room has a door communicating with the room next door, it might be noisy.
