the hotel is located on a wide beach, in a quiet bay, which is its greatest asset. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly and smiling. Tasty breakfasts and dinners, delicious drinks from the beach bar. The rooms had a beautiful view of the sea. The standard in the rooms was unfortunately quite low, but it did not bother us, because we spent the whole day visiting the nearby beaches.

The staff are very friendly and willing to help. The place is very clean. The location is right in the beach. The room is really big and spacious and it’s very peaceful. The staff make the place they are lovely!

Great Location, away from the noisy and busy part of the area, but still walking distance! Breakfast was fantastic, and bar snacks during the day. Beach bar was also great quality. Rooms were a good size with good showers.

Good property at front of the beach, super nice stuff, family service. I would recommend that hotel for family and single stay. One of the most biggest advantages is location!

We loved it. Right on the beach so didn't need a pool. Informal and relaxed which added to its charm. It's not like a generic resort and that's what made it so special. Lots of local restaurants and shops that you can walk to, but it's still quiet and in a beautiful location. My perfect image of a tropical beach.

Breakfast was not included, but we always ate at the hotel. One of the best breakfast of Sri Lanka (at least on our jurney). We also tried a fwe lunch/dinner options and I have to say - they were quite good. The hotel is on a quiet beach Dickwella, but the noisy and livley Hirikiteya beach is only a short distance away (15 minutes walking). We loved the surfing there, but the beach is quite crwded and small so we loved ours a lot more. The Dickwella beach is big and uncrowded and we loved the combo of the two. ALso on Dickwella is the wonderfull restaurant Smoke and bitters - the one place where is worth to go all in - the food is amazing. Book a table - you will not be sorry. The service is really quick too.

Superb location right on the beach. Some of the older rooms are pretty tired, but they are cheaper than the new rooms, fair enough! The AC was good, beds were perfectly clean and comfortable, and the wifi was pretty reliable. The (relatively new?) Rumor Beach Bar is within the hotel grounds and does beers, coffees, and lots of cocktails. The Hotel is situated towards the east end of the beach - this is great because the west part of the beach is not safe for swimming. Loads of really good beach restaurants are just moments away, along with Smoke & Bitters the celebrated high-end cocktail bar / restaurant.

Very welcoming, accommodating staff. Great value. Definitely beachfront. Good menu and quality of food. Location is great, with a calm peaceful vibe, short walk to Hiriketiya via two quiet routes.
