It was the BEST accommodation in Matsumoto. Everything, from check-in to facilities, cleanliness, comfort, and heating (as it was winter), was absolutely perfect with no flaws. Additionally, it is conveniently located at a reasonable distance from Matsumoto Station, and just a short walk takes you to Aeon Mall and the main street. The river view from the balcony is cool.

The owner welcomed us warmly and explained us everything at arrival. It was nice to experience a stay in a traditional Japanese household. The bathroom had all necessary toiletries for consumption. There is also a coin washing machine and dryer. The common kitchen offered tea and coffee. Location nearby the famous frog street and the Matsumoto castle. Comfortable tatamis and pillows.

Very clean. There were nice touches in the living room as it’s a shared common space. The owner also provided spring water which was just collected across the property.

Very friendly host, who, although he didn't speak English, had a very useful digital tool for translating. He explained us everything we needed to know. The whole house was very clean, including the living room/kitchen and bathroom. We could make use of all the facilities, and there was even fresh water from the well and fresh fruits waiting for us in the kitchen. Our room on the ground floor had a small balcony. In terms of location - it's a bit further away from the center/train station, but more than doable walkable distance, plus there is a huge shopping center nearby with everything you could possible need (supermarket, food court, shops). We enjoyed being in this part of the city. This was our first "sleeping on tatami mats" experience, and although I have to admit we prefer normal beds, it was a nice experience! We would recommend you staying here if you go to Matsumoto :)

Great position, next to one of the best aera of the city. Very bright room with a terrace. The host explained us a very possible thing and he was really nice!
