Everything was great, the Matsumoto Jujo definitely is high class hotel. Especially we liked the chef, dinnres and breakfast were wonderful.

This is the place you won’t find anywhere else. There is private open-air onsen bathtub and it is just perfect. It was snowing when we stayed, which added to the ambiance. Food was also great. They use lots of local ingredients and arranged them in such a beautiful way. It was a wonderful experience, so much better than we expected. Definitely highly recommended.

Food was excellent. Each plate has its own specialty and it looks good and tastes so great. Each room has private Onsen bathtub and it is so relaxing.

We stayed at this incredible hotel in Matsumoto for three nights, and it was an unforgettable experience. The highlight for us was the huge bookstore inside the hotel—it’s absolutely amazing! Even if you don’t read Japanese, browsing through the stunning collection of art books was so much fun. The staff was fantastic—super helpful, kind, and attentive to every detail. They made us feel truly welcome. Our room was spotless, beautifully designed, and filled with thoughtful amenities. The private onsen was such a treat, adding a touch of luxury and relaxation to our stay. The food was another highlight. Dinner was spectacular, and breakfast was also very good. Since we stayed for three nights, the staff went out of their way to create a special dinner menu for us each night so we wouldn’t have the same meal twice—such a thoughtful touch! Beyond the hotel itself, the design of the entire place is beautiful, with great attention to color and materials. If you have a car, there are several fantastic attractions in the area that made our trip even more enjoyable. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel—it’s a unique and unforgettable place to stay in Matsumoto!

Lovely room with outdoor onsen and view over the city. Free snacks, including icecreams, tea and coffee, fruit drinks outside our door. Friendly staff. Lovely welcome drink and sweets. Dinner was interesting with a range of foods to try.

An absolutely stunning place to stay. The room facilities were immaculate, I was able to make great use of the private onsen on the terrace. Both breakfast and dinner were served as part of the room package and all meals were created using fresh local produce. The hotel places high value on local community and sustainability. I hope I can visit here again someday.

The breakfast was perfectly portioned and included everything we love, making it an excellent start to the day. Dinner was a delightful experience—creative and superbly prepared, showcasing the chef's innovation. The staff were exceptionally friendly and made us feel warmly welcomed throughout our stay. The private bath was a fantastic feature, adding an extra layer of relaxation and comfort. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
