The room for a solo traveller was incredibly spacious, with an additional sun room with chairs and a couch to relax on and enjoy the mountain views. The view from the hotel is simply amazing- gazing over Garbett Plateau. It's one of the most peaceful views in Matheran and you can just sit and enjoy it. The room was old style, but very clean and in great condition. My bed was comfy, the fan worked very well and you can open all the windows to let air in because they all have fly mesh on them to keep insects out. Even though the shower only has hot water in the morning, the water at night is still warm enough to enjoy. The breakfast was delicious and the staff are really lovely and helpful. The pool was great to swim in after a long day of hiking. The location is close to the town but tucked away from any noise. I truly had an amazing stay here.

Location, helpfulness of staff, quirkiness. Place would have been great 50 years ago, but not modernised, so a bit run down. Nice pool, great views of sunrise. Enjoyed it for 1 night, but wouldn't want a long stay.

Excellent location with breathtaking view overlooking the huge valley. Very close to the Matheran Railway station and the market area , and yet away from the din and bustle , nested in the lap of nature. Excellent well maintained swimming pool.

The owner was so incredibly helpful to not only recommend wonderful hikes for the limited time I had. She also made perfect proposals for my onward journey. Everybody was so nice that you felt at home. I would like to come back again!

Though limited items for breakfast, food was well prepared. No space for any complaints. Ambience and open spaces are too good. Amenities like swimming pool,carrom, TT we enjoyed.

The hotel is nice. The staff is very humble and nice. The food is good. Over all the stay for one night was nice. The view from the room was very nice in the morning and evening.
