Everything was perfect. Location, apartment and host Aldo and Rossa were brilliant. Excellent breakfast. Would only recommend to stay there when visiting Matera.

this is a fabulous location in the heart of Matera with delightful hosts, gorgeous home cooked breakfast and a beautiful very spacious room with a dream balcony - Aldo went out if his way to give us rides to and from our car parked outside the old town (even with a very late arrival) and let us raid the breakfast table each morning to take with us for the day - the breakfast room is also a local art gallery! we could not have chosen better - thank you Aldo and Rosa

Aldo and his wife was very welcoming and picked us up from the bus station and even dropped us back at the station for our next leg of our trip, the room was fantastic and they made us feel like part of their family I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend people to book this accommodation it has great views thank you for making our stay so pleasurable, John and Hilary

We were met by Aldo outside the police Station where we were able to park on the street for free. Aldo took us in his own car to the Sassi and his apartment. Great location and facilities with breakfast served round the corner in Aldo's art gallery. The breakfast was superb, fruit, yogurt, bread, cheese, freshly sliced meats, cake, tea and coffee. There was so much food Aldo gave us a doggy bag to take away for lunch. Aldo and his wife Rosa couldn't do enough, wonderful hosts.

This charming apartment was in the best location right in the heart of the ancient town. The breakfast was amazing, including catering for our gluten-free needs and our delightful hosts could not do enough to ensure we made the most of our 2 night stay in Matera, Thank you!

What an amazing place to stay … if we could give 20/10 we would ! Aldo and Rosa are more hosts.. they treat their guests as they would their own family :) The breakfast is the best I have ever had in my 4 visits to Italy … new produce to try (cactus fruit, buratta cheese etc) homemade focaccia bread and cake lovingly made by Rosa… They have made Matera a place forever in my heart ❤️… I cannot wait to return and send special friends to experience such a beautiful place and people. Thank you 🙏 Grazie Mille from the bottom of my heart ❤️♥️

The location and the apartment itself is amazing. It is in the heart of the old town. Aldo met us at the parking lot. 20 eur/night and we took his car to the apartment. Very comfortable:) This place and the owners makes it not just a stay but also an experience. Definitely worth the rating.
