Beautiful room. Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was delicious with so much to choose from. This was the highlight of our 3 week trip to Italy

Its location is right in the heart of the old town which means a lot of steps and with heavy luggage it was difficult but we were warned. The room is incredible with lots of room and comfortably cool. Staff are very helpful.

The room was spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and they also have a lovely courtyard you can sit in to have your breakfast. Plenty of nice restaurants close by.

We loved the beauty of this place, very unique and so in keeping with the area. Beautiful cave atmosphere, quiet and very clean. Our two boys aged 9 and 12 loved it as well. Very comfortable, close to everything and very helpful staff.

Everything, it was an idyllic room in a fantastic location. The hosts were absolutely amazing. The ambience in the breakfast room was wonderful, capturing the history of Matera in such an aesthetic way. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with a wide variety of choices. My wife particularly enjoyed the granola and yogurt on both mornings. The only little drawback was that there was some dampness in the room which affected the clothes hanging in the little cave wardrobe. And perhaps a TV. Although we did laugh at the drawing in the breakfast room depicting the couple sans TV.

Loved the cave experience. If you can get past the moisture in the cave environment it was well worth the stay. Very authentic and a special experience.
