This cute cave house was super conveniently located a few minutes walk from El Duomo. The house itself was very cosy, the kids loved their cave room. We were there in mid October and surprised at how warm it was inside. There was a decent kitchen, good sized fridge and coffee machine. Huge bathroom. Quiet location. A good amount of breakfast supplies were included which was great. Tea was very helpful before we arrived and booked our car into a long stay parcheggio. They transferred us to El Duomo and Tea arranged collection for us on our departure which was 10 euros. Parking was 20 euros a day and the car was ready and waiting when we returned. V well organised. Matera didn’t disappoint, we loved it and found where ever we wanted to go was not more than 10 mins walk from the house. Piu Sud is a good restaurant nearby and I think that was my best pizza of our two week trip around Puglia.

Tea and Martino were the most wonderful, warm and welcoming hosts. The communication was excellent and we were met on arrival where the taxi dropped us and helped with our luggage to our home for 5 nights. On departure, Martino again met us at the accommodation and drove us to the bus station. The home is beautifully furnished and decorated, and so comfortable and we felt so at home. It has all the facilities you need, and more, with food and drink treats which were so appreciated. We were given maps and information on places to go, and there were guidebooks available to read about this amazing town. The location of the home was fantastic, right in the heart of Matera, but so quiet and peaceful. One of the best places I have ever stayed in all my travels over many years. Hope to see you in Australia sometime for a visit Tea and Martino!

The place is comfortable, clean, and well-located. The owners are friendly and always available to help. They also let us all the necessary things for a nice breakfast for our little one and us.

Breakfast was ok. Location perfect. The owners helped us with the bags, they come with a car to get us from the parking and they take us with a car to the parking when leaving.

This is such a beautiful and clean accommodation right in the heart of old Matera. The owners were really wonderful. They picked us up and drove us to the accommodation and shared lots of information about Matera. I would highly recommend!
